Cooking The Books Prevention- for beginners in business
ISBN
Do you need to learn about bookkeeping, but don't want to take classes to be an accountant? This book presents an innovative, common sense approach to understanding all bookkeeping principles.
The first two chapters explain how all bookkeeping in every business, is the SAME. Some phrases are intentionally redundant for the purpose of refreshing prior statements and tying them into the whole concept. If you will read the entire book without attempting in depth understanding as you read, some subjects may clarify themselves as you progress. I believe the key to becoming a good bookkeeper is repetition and practice; For some it is classroom work. for others it is on-hands experience. This book is not intended as a substitute or a textbook for learning, but as a concept for understanding what you need to learn or pay others to know. To include more would overreach the goal of simple understanding, which is the author's intention. Immediate comprehension is determined by prior knowledge and experience, and aptitude. I gave a copy to a gifted high school student to review who found the concepts easy to follow, informative, and vauable for understanding business processes.
The chapters on Cooking the Books and Taxes are to show the commonality of what novice embezzlers may believe are innovative and new ways to steal when they are not.
